About the Scrimmage tournament : - The tournament will only count as one scrimmage against your team. - Coaches your teams will get to play against 9 different teams instead of just one at a regular scrimmage. - To follow PIAA rules, all matches will be timed, so that a teams court time does not exceed 2 ½ hours. Also no score will be kept by host team. Coaches are encouraged to keep their own score to see how they do. We are not allowed to keep or show scores by PIAA Scrimmage rules. - There will be certified PIAA official officiating all matches. Breakdown of the tournament : - Coaches you will play against all 9 teams. Each match will be 16 minutes long. The official will stop the clock after 8 minutes, giving all teams a 2 minute break. During this time coaches are encouraged to change their line-ups, sub players, or try a new lineup all together. At this point the match will start up again and finish playing. Point of the tournament : - We host our tourney a week before the start of the regular season to help all teams prepare for their seasons. Our tournament is laid back so that coaches can make adjustments and help their teams improve. The whole point of running this is to help coaches know their strengths and weakness, and possibly find their best lineup to prepare for the season. Please inform your team that the booster club will have a food stand and t-shirts for sale at the scrimmage tournament.
